Paul Fairchild
General Manager
Paul was formerly the tennis director at Beaver Brook Tennis Club and Ridgewood Country Club, and most recently a tennis professional at Shippan Racquet Club in Stamford. Paul brings a wealth of experience to RAC that will help continue to expand and improve the breath and quality of our adult and junior tennis programs.
Paul has over ten year coaching experience and has also taught tennis in Germany, England and Australia, where he was the tennis director at the State Tennis Centre and the Belmont Park Tennis Club. He is fully accredited by both the Australian Tennis Association and U.S. Professional Tennis Registry. Paul is originally from Perth, Western Australia, and was ranked in the top ten in Western Australia in Men's Singles. He played Division I college tennis at Brigham Young University in Utah where he majored in German with a minor in coaching.
Kristian Larson

Kristian is originally from Sydney, Australia. He is a certified Tennis Professional with both the PTR and USPTA. While living in Sydney, he studied at The Australian College of Physical Education. He has over 10 years of coaching experience in both Australia and in the United States. Kristian taught at the Sydney International Tennis Center and also worked with top international juniors at the Leyton Hewitt International Tennis Camp. In the U.S. Kristian was Head Tennis Coach at Windridge Tennis Camp - this camp has been rated in the Top Ten Tennis Camps in the country. He has also coached at the Trumbull Racquet Club, Beaver Brook Tennis Club, was Head Tennis Professional at Ridgewood Country Club and recently coached at the Yonkers Tennis Center.
Angelica Solon Mattschei
Angelica is a USPTA certified tennis professional and was the former #1 player and captain of the UCONN tennis team. Angelica most recently taught tennis at the Sangre de Cristo Racquet Club in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she also coached high school and college tennis. Angelica majored in English, and is finishing her thesis for a Masters in Science Management. She also spent six years as a Field Medic for the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Marc Castellana
Marc Castellana, a native of France, was most recently coaching at the Kings Highway Tennis Club, Darien, CT. He has also taught at the Buckskill Tennis Club in East Hampton, New York as well as the Olympique Calas Cabries in France. He was Head Pro at the Saint Victor Tennis Club in France and taught in the summer season for six years.
Marc graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His team there was ranked number 53 in the country in Division 1. As a junior Marc played for the Olympique Calas Cabries, a division 1B team -the second highest level in France. His team was ranked in the top 35.
As an individual player, Marc is ranked in the top 500 in France.
Glen McMurdo
Glen, originally from South Africa, is a fully certified PTR teaching professional. He has taught for four winter seasons at Kings Highway Tennis Club in Darien, CT and eight winter seasons at the Shippan Racquet Club in Stamford, CT. His summer teaching experience as an assistant professional includes working at the Belle Haven Club, Stamford Yacht Club, Fairfield Hunt Club and Manursing Island Club in Rye, NY. Glen is currently the Tennis Director at the Shore & Country Club in Norwalk, CT where he has been for the past seven summer seasons. He is also a USRSA Master Racquet Technician and a member of the Wilson Advisory Staff.
